Glen Class

Welcome to Glen Class

PE days for Summer Term 2026 are:

Tuesday and Thursday with Forest school on a Friday.

We are a class of EYFS children. We are taught by Mrs Lenton

I love exploring the outdoors and staying active, and I believe that adventure can be found in both nature and books. Reading is one of my greatest joys, and sharing stories during assembly is a wonderful way to inspire imagination and creativity.

What we are learning about this Term?

Summer Term 2 2026: On the Beach

This term, children will explore our exciting seaside topic, “On the Beach.” They will learn about oceans, coastlines, wildlife, and environmental issues through engaging stories such as The Singing Mermaid and The Snail and the Whale, while developing their reading, writing, and communication skills.

Pupils will build knowledge of habitats, food chains, maps, and local landmarks, alongside science learning about plants, animals, and seasonal change. Maths learning will focus on number, calculation, measurement, and problem-solving through practical activities.

Creative opportunities will include seaside-themed art, music, and design, while physical development will involve athletics, outdoor learning, and Forest School experiences.

The term will end with a special Beach Day, giving children the chance to apply their learning through fun, hands-on activities, while also supporting their personal and emotional development as they prepare for their next stage of learning.
