What we are learning about this Term?

Summer Term 2 2026- Beside the Seaside

In Witham Class our new topic is called Beside the Seaside. In English and Guided Reading our work will be inspired by books such as The Lighthouse Keeper’s series by D R Armitage and Flotsam David Wiesner. In Science, we will continue our work on habitats from last term to consider the different habitats along a coastline. We will also be creating food chains considering the different producers and consumers in each habitat. As Geographers, we will consider how coastlines are used in Britain and the features of different coastlines to help us to design our own.
