Our recognition is that each child is unique and will have varying needs which may well differ throughout their time in our academy.
The focus of spending our pupil premium is to seek to give each child all that they need working alongside their peers.
The pupil premium strategy links directly to the Academy Development Plan, catch up, intervention and recovery plans for short, medium and long term interventions.
Our intention is that all pupils make good progress through a rich curriculum of professional experiences across all curriculum areas.
The strategy is also intented to support pupils’ needs, regardless of whether they are disadvantaged or not.
High quality teaching focuses on areas which disadvantaged pupils need in closing the disadvantage gap and at the same time benefitting their non-disadvantaged peers.
We will –
- provide challenge in work provided
- adopt a whole academy approach working together to sustain and improve outcomes through high expectations
- provide intervention promptly when needed
